Talk therapy is a meaningful process of exploring the patterns and barriers that may be inhibiting our satisfying experience of life. I have successfully partnered with clients with a range of emotional and relational difficulties to help them cope and heal.
I work from an eclectic developmental lens that privileges opportunities for growth across the life cycle. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from the University of Chicago and a Certificate in Adult Psychotherapy from the Institute for Psychoanalysis in Chicago. Over ten years of experience in inpatient and outpatient psychiatry has provided a foundation to address mental health and well-being through a multidimensional lens. My postgraduate work and continuing education enable me to share an insight-oriented perspective in internal and external relationships, throughout the life cycle. I have enjoyed adding postgraduate training in Bowen Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Group Psychotherapy.
Over the last two decades, many of my patients have been aged sixty-five and above. This work with older adults has allowed me to develop a unique specialty counseling to treat depression, anxiety, and personality disorders in the geriatric population.
My work as a psychotherapist is a personal and professional journey, and I welcome opportunities to partner with others toward healing, wholeness, and joy.
